In Sweden, RPC offers both a Mat & Small Barrels course as well as the full Comprehensive Course.
RPC Mat & Smaller Barrels program: Foundations and the full Classical Pilates Mat system along with Spine Corrector, Small Barrels, Magic Circle, and Small Props.
RPC Comprehensive program: consists of Foundations, the Mat and Small Barrel course followed by Reformer 1-3 and Apparatus 1-3 which will be beginner to advanced level training on Reformer, Cadillac, Tower, Chairs, Barrels and Pedipole.
All courses include and not limited to: ethics, professionalism, over 35 common pathologies, anatomy, alignment protocols, special populations, comprehensive exercises on all apparatus, safety, tactile cueing, common mistakes, building blocks, challenges, modifications, variations as well as beginner, intermediate, and advanced classical orders. Truly the most comprehensive training you can get with Pilates Education in US or EU.
The Mat and Smaller Barrels Program is one full week of intensive training or two weekends along with a full weekend online with our Foundations. The Pilates Mat & Small Barrels certification includes the marketing basics training to help you launch your Pilates Career. Should you want to continue your full comprehensive apparatus training the same year or another time, you will just pay the difference to enroll for the full course.
The Comprehensive Program is spread out over 7 months in an intensive format in EU with 4 week-long training modules and typically takes 9 months to a year to complete hours.
ALL programs/courses include free audits for life!! Meaning you can retake any module any time any where in the world at any RPC location for FREE! We have offered this from the beginning so we help create the world’s best and most informed teachers and continue the development of our graduates and students.
Because many of the RPC students go on to make Pilates a full-time career or open Pilates businesses. A marketing and business basics workshop training is offered for those who want to teach professionally and looking to launch their career. We have found this to be very beneficial whether you are an employee, Enskild Firma, or looking to start your own AB and studio.
For those looking for an in-depth Business Launch course, Heather Erdmann and Jaime White both experienced value driven and profitable, equitable business owners offer a 6 month long intensive Business training for those wishing to create ethical value driven profitable studio.
We recommend focusing on course at a time with completion of each before committing to the next venture.

Comprehensive Classical Pilates Teacher training
Many students complete their comprehensive course certification in one year and Mat & Small Barrels students complete their certification in 4 months. That said, if that is not the case there is no penalty for needing to extend the time in which it takes them to complete this comprehensive training program. You are also welcome to come back and audit the course for free at any time should you need a refresher or to deepen your knowledge.
Required Elements
We highly recommend that you acquaint yourself with the fundamentals of Joseph Pilates and allocate at least 75 hours comprehensive and 25 hours Mat/Barrels to practice Pilates on your own before your first training weekend. This will not only boost your confidence but also equip you with some familiarity to Pilates so you can actively participate in the seminar with enthusiasm.
600 hours of combined observation, student teaching and practice for Comprehensive. 175 hours of combined observation, student teaching and practice for Mat & Small Barrels certification.
Anatomy & Physiology 1 & 2 at a college level or equivalent before the practicum. We have a course that meets this requirement - see our registration email for information on The Lab | Anatomy or see our FAQ page for a way to do the anatomy requirement for free.
Enrollment includes course audits for life
For Comprehensive Course students, once modules, hours, and anatomy are completed there are three written and practical exams throughout the comprehensive course. Students take a series of what we call “level assessments” as part of a cumulative Practical Exam. The components include video submissions, in-person teaching, written case studies and a quiz. This is also referred to as your Practicum.
For Mat & Small Barrels Course students, once modules, hours, and anatomy are completed there is one practical exam consisting of in-person teaching as well as written case studies and a quiz.
Return to Life by Joseph Pilates is required reading. Titles written by Blandine Calais-Germain, especially Anatomy of Movement are helpful supplements to your anatomy journey. The Anatomy Trail Guide is a valuable anatomy text and can assist a beginner teacher in recognizing and recruiting particular muscles and muscle groups.
“Learning how to understand and recognize postural alignment in a body really helped me understand Pilates as a uniform system, as well as how to organize a flow and have intentional cueing. RPC taught me that!”
— Happy Student Whitney S., obtaining her 2nd certification with Rebel Pilates Collective
What’s next?
Once you complete registration you will receive a welcome email explaining the next steps. Your manuals will be waiting for you when you arrive on the first day. And remember, once a student, always a student. We encourage students to audit modules throughout the program and after graduation. This auditing process takes zero extra financial investment on your part and is an investment we make in you. We invest in our collective by keeping continued development accessible.
We look forward to meeting you and beginning this journey together!
